Here is a personal illustration series that explores the relationship between past and present forms of idolatry, ritual, wealth, and salvation. My friend and I turned one of them (“The Father, the Son, and the Holy Toast”) into a light box to sell at an art show.
The last stained glass art piece, on the other hand, was done during the first COVID lockdown and acts as a meditation on the transformative nature of the pandemic. Like an eclipse, in darkness, we’re reminded of our humanity and may find that we see light in unexpected places.
